Welcome!

Dinter Nursery is located in the beautiful Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. The nursery is a 45 minute drive north of Victoria and 5 km south of Duncan just off the Island Highway.

The nursery is now open everyday.  Seed racks for 2010 will start arriving in mid January, but stop by anytime to pick up a free West Coast Seed catalogue for some armchair gardening.  The staff are busy setting out the new products for Spring.

In this mild weather, some planting can be done.  There are many shrubs and some perennials that start blooming in late January and will give you an early welcome to the new season.  We have a basic selection of inexpensive bare root fruit trees that can be planted in cool damp weather.  More fruit trees are arriving in early February along with new nursery stock.

We look forward to seeing all our customers as the weather warms up and you can get into the garden.  The following picture is a Chinese Witch Hazel - a large shrub with fragrant blooms in January.

Monday to Saturday: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Sunday: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
